48 Output Driver Expansion PCB Kit for Arduino
This is an Output Expander PCB Kit for Arduinos or any other Microprocessor, including the Rasberry Pi. It provides 48 unique outputs each rated at 25 mA. This means your Uno or Nano can now have up to 58 outputs. You can drive LEDs or Relays directly.
The main ICs used are the 74HC595 Serial to Parallel IC in a Daisy Chain configuration. It requires 4 I/O lines to control up to 48 outputs. The four controlling inputs are input thru either a screw terminal or via a 5 pin header.
It is powered by a DC voltage from 5vdc to 15vdc. There are 4 different ways to connect power to the PCB. Each set of 8 outputs is accessible via an 8-pin Header or directly from the PCB via an output thru-hole pad. These options for power, inputs, and outputs are for maximum flexibility.
The PCB is 8.00" long by 1.50" wide and is less than an inch in total height. PCB is FR4, 0.062" thick, 1oz copper, with Blue Solder Mask and all plated thru-holes. There are 6 mounting hole (0.125").
This is a kit which will require you to assemble it. It is also available as a Built and Tested for those that don't want the fun of building it.
