Adjustable Echo Audio Amplifier Kit
This is the Adjustable Echo Audio Amplifier Kit. It includes the very popular Echo IC, PT2399 that feeds a LM386 Audio Power Amplifier IC. This kit will include the PT2399 Echo IC, the LM386 Audio Amplifier IC, schematics, PCB, and the parts to build it. This is one of the world's most popular ECHO ICs along with the popular Audio Power Amplifier, LM386.
This Echo Amplifier Kit has been designed so that it has an input with built-in DC Voltage for an Electret Microphone. This feeds a Hi-Impedance Op Amp with adjustable gain which then feeds the PT2399 circuitry with an adjustment Echo potentiometer. The output of the PT2399 goes to the LM386, Audio Amplifier. The output is approximatley 1/2 watt into an 8 Ohm load. The DC Power reuired is between 9vdc and 12vdc.
The input connector is a choise between an RCA female connector and a 2-pin Screw Terminal. You will get one of each so you decide which one fits your needs. The output is split into an RCA female connector AND a 2-pin Screw Terminal, you get both. You can use either or both at the same time. The input POWER is via a 2-pin Screw Terminal.
There is a GAIN control for the initial Op Amp to adjust for different inputs. There is also an ECHO Control to adjust for the amount of ECHO desired. From minimal echo to full echo. There is also a final VOLUME control. All three come with knobs. The knob colors may vary.
Each IC comes with an IC Socket.there are 2 different style of input connectors and 2 different styles of output connectors to choose from. For example, you may choose a 2-pin Screw Terminal output. Or you may choose a 2-pin Screw Terminal for the input and an RCA jack for the output. This gives you great flexibility.
This kit is also offered with a "Built & Tested" option for those that do not want to build the kit themselves.
The PCB is 4.00" long x 3.00" wide x 1.00" high (when completed) and made of .032" FR-4 epoxy glass. All holes are plated through. The traces are wide to withstand numerous circuit changes. There are 3 mounting holes.
This kit does not include the tools you will need to assemble the circuit. You will need tools such as a soldering iron, solder, wire cutters, etc. Below is a detailed introduction to component identification and kit assembly.
