British Police Siren Kit (#1747)
This is the British Siren Kit. This kit will produce a sound very similar to a British Police siren. It is uses two LM555 Timers to create this sound which has two adjustments. One adjustment is for varying the rise and fall times and the other is for varying the tone. Use this in your model train setups or anywhere you would like the sound of a British Police siren. The project can be built in one night. A speaker is not included in this kit. It sounds great with a 10-Watt, 8 Ohms speaker.
This kit is also offered with a "Built & Tested" option for those that do not want to build the kit themselves.
The PCB is double-sided, plated thru-hole, 1.20" long x 2.20" wide made of .062" FR-4 epoxy glass. It has green Solder Mask (LPI) on both sides with white Silk Screen on the Top side and four mounting holes.
This kit does not include the tools you will need to assemble the circuit. You will need tools such as a soldering iron, solder, wire cutters, etc. Below is a detailed introduction to component identification and kit assembly.
